IF IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - YOU BETTER STAY AWAY

My own experience has taught me that there is no such thing or way to make money with no work or little effort. In fact, there are many things you can do that will generate passive income, i.e. receiving money that keeps coming in every month without you working for it. But you need to put in a lot of work or effort in the beginning to generate passive income or residual income.

Are you willing to put in the work and effort to keep getting paid over and over?

Or if you have a lot of money sitting in the bank, you can invest that money and make a nice income without working. That's because you have your money working for you.

Unfortunately, most people don't have the luxury of half a million to a million dollars sitting in the bank that they can invest in a safe investment earning them 6-10% a year. If you had a million dollars and you found a safe investment that gives you 10% a year return, that's a $100k a year income without working. You would need at least a million dollars of liquid cash to retire comfortably.

Just remember folks there is no magical formula or sure fire way to make money with no work. That is a pie in the sky or pipe dream that some people sell to get you to join their program or invest money with them. It doesn't work. If you can make money without working, and it is so easy, how can something like that be sustained over time?????

Don't try to find an easy way to get rich quick. There is no such thing so stop wasting your time and effort in that type of search or scheme. If you put your time and effort into building a business, you will see it start to pay off slowly. Making real money is through your tears and sweat only then it is worth it.

The Power of Positive Thinking

Why positive thinking is so powerful? This is because the power of positive thinking is directly connected to the ability to remove, control or eliminate negative thoughts. Negative thoughts can and will destroy your life.

What are negative thoughts? Thoughts of doubt, fear, worry, doom and gloom, focusing on what could or will go wrong is a clear sign of negative thinking. I believe all of us have experienced such thoughts, am I right? But the most important thing to do is not to dwell on these negative thoughts for too long.

When your mind is filled with negative thoughts you’re attracting more of what you DON’T WANT! And that means your subconscious mind ends up bringing you more of the things that you don’t want in your life. So if you want to create a better life, if you want to enjoy greater success, happiness and enjoy more of the things you want, while getting rid of the negative aspects of your life then you have to eliminate the negative thinking.

But the question is HOW? Negative thoughts can be weeded out by working with the power of positive thinking and some simple positive thinking exercises. I’m going to give you a simple process, and outline some positive thinking exercises so that you get your mind and subconscious mind focused on being positive and attract more positive situations. When you do this you’ll have the power of positive thinking working for you.

Remember to always create positive thinking patterns, by working with positive thinking exercises. In this way, you will attract more of what you want so that your subconscious mind brings you the people, situations and circumstances to help you succeed. You see, your thoughts have a direct impact on your life. Thoughts that you think regularly end up creating beliefs - you begin to believe what you regularly think about.

For example, if you keep believing that you’re sick – you will!! What you regularly think about, what you focus on, those thoughts that repeatedly run through your head become beliefs. It is these beliefs that your subconscious mind picks up on and sees as instructions.

Your subconscious then follows these instructions and creates your life based on the beliefs that you hold. So if you’re not happy with your life, if things aren't going the way you want, then simply track your thoughts and uncover your beliefs.

For example, if you regularly think that you don’t have enough money, then you likely believe that it’s difficult to save money and you probably have hard time saving money. This is exactly what you don’t want, but you may be creating it without even realizing it.

The solution is to change your thinking and change your beliefs. How do you do this?

Start developing positive thinking patterns. Replace the negative thinking with positive thoughts. Work with positive thinking exercises and you’ll attract more positive situations. This is how the power of positive thinking works. That means replacing the negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Create a list, track your thoughts, write down those that don’t work for you and then begin replacing them. Your new thoughts will lead to new beliefs.

Those new beliefs are impressed on the subconscious mind which then creates the situations, circumstances and brings the right people to help you succeed. This is the power of positive thinking. This is what Dr Norman Vincent Peale is referring to in the Power Of Positive Thinking.

Now there is a lot more you can do to get your subconscious mind to create more of what you want and less of what you don’t want. And this means working with positive thinking exercises regularly. To help you eliminate the negative thinking and create positive thinking patterns that help you attract what you want and achieve your goals, I urge you to read my book – DARE TO CHANGE. It is not available in the bookstore but the signed copy is available with me.

All the best!!!

The Millionaire Blueprint That You Must Have

Most people want to be a Millionaire but very few can achieve such status. The very few who achieve that status, through hard work, is not because of accident but because they have a plan or to be more precise – they have the solid blue print.

Having a millionaire blueprint is the key to making big money. What exactly is a millionaire blueprint? A millionaire blueprint is like a road map; it is your guide to get to your destination, which is millionaire status. You will meet many people such as self-proclaim gurus that want to sell you this road map but that isn’t necessary. Don’t waste your money because you can do and have your own road map.

Just make a millionaire blueprint for yourself that suits your personality, style, and time frame with the end result in mind. Ask yourself these questions. Do you want 1 million? Would you like to have more than 1 million? How much more? But you need to know exactly what you want, down to the last dollar amount. How do you plan to get there and work on achieving your goal if you don’t know what you want? (Read my book Dare To Change – about why it is important to know WHAT YOU REALLY WANT)

Remember simply wanting to be rich is not enough. You need to be more specific than that. After figuring out how much money you want, you will need to know what vehicle you will use to achieve that goal. Do you have any extraordinary talents or skills? What is it that you are really good at and absolutely love doing? For me I love talking and motivating people and people pay me that. So list down all your talents and skills. If money weren’t a concern, what would you do with your time? Is there a hobby that you enjoy more than others? Figure out if there is a way you can profit from it.

There are three ways that have made many ordinary people millions if you don’t have any talent or skills that people will pay big money for. These three ways are real estate, the stock market and starting your own small business. Figure out what you want to do and learn about one area, then go out there and take massive action.

In your millionaire blueprint you will write down a PLAN OF ACTION that is perfect for your situation, your goals and your time frame.

Things you need to include in your millionaire blueprint are:

  1. How much money do you want to make? (Have a positive expectation in your mind when doing this.) It will happen, if you don’t quit prematurely.
  2. How do you expect to get there? What is something of value that you will provide in exchange for this money? How many people will you help? Figure out what you will do or what service you will provide for this money.
  3. What is the date you have in mind for achieving this sum of money? You need to set a date when all this will come to past, and put the words or sooner after the date because you might have it all before that date.
  4. What specialize knowledge will you need to be able to accomplish this? Do you need technical knowledge, trade secrets, technical schooling, or knowledge about business, real estate or stocks? What is your game plan to get this knowledge? Find a mentor? Go to a workshop or seminar? Or to school?
  5. Who else will you need to have on your team for this to happen? Do you need to enlist the help of an accountant, a lawyer, marketing specialist, copywriter, venture capitalist, or a computer professional? Is there someone that can help you or whose services you can pay for to make this successful?
  6. Are there any tools, software, books, or products you need to have to help you in this endeavor? Tools such as marketing books, software products, business equipment, etc. might be useful. Find out what you need.
  7. How much time will you devote to this per day, week, month, or year for this to be real? You need to put down the amount of time you plan to spend working on this. And be accountable to yourself or someone close to you. Most people stop doing the things they need to do before the goals are achieved. You can’t stop halfway until you get what you are after. If you quit, don’t ever say that your plan didn’t work because you failed to work that plan. It could very well be a valid and effective blueprint you have in your hands.
  8. Do you have the support of your family now? If not, how do you plan to go about in gaining their support for the achievement of this goal? The support of your family is important and it will help to motivate you if they back you up. But if they don’t support you, you can still go ahead with it. Just don’t discuss your plans with them because they might be negative and just shoot your hopes and dreams down. They don’t mean anything bad most of the time, they just don’t understand what you are trying to achieve. Don’t listen to negative voices and don’t give up because of it.
  9. What types of action do you have to take for this to happen? You need to take massive action to make things happen. In your millionaire blueprint, did you put down what specific actions you will take? Put down a short list of actions you will take this week, this month, this year.

I wish you all the best and good luck on your millionaire journey.

A Financial Plan Towards Your Million

Creating a financial plan is very important if we want to realise our dream of becoming a millionaire. My next book The Straightest Path To A Millionaire describing about the simplest steps one needs to take to realise a dream of becoming a millionaire without quitting your job. Remember millionaire is not born but made! One should have that MADE mindset to do what the majority think is impossible.

These are the steps that should be taken to create a solid financial foundation for the rest of our lives.

Step 1. Pay yourself first

In this step you must open a separate bank account and deposit a minimum of 10% of everything you earn (i.e., your net pay, commissions, etc.) in it. This account should not be touched. Think of this account as your investment account and this account will make you wealthy. Before you pay anythings else such as bills, etc..you must take out 10% from your salary and deposited into this account immediately. Once you get a raise, add the raise to your 10% to speed up the wealth accumulation process. Do the same with any windfall money you receive such as bonus or any other incomes you received for that period. The rule of the game is you must pretend this money doesn't exist. This is your investment account and it is the most important key towards your MILLION or may I say it - your financial independence. The moment you start saving this money, you must let the money start working for you even while you're sleeping. This is done by investing the money at the higher interest rate and you'll start to see the power of compounding. You can talk to your trusted investment friend or financial consultant to advise you on which investment will give you a higher return.

Step 2: Pay your monthly bills

You'll always have maintenance bills for housing, utilities, clothing, foodstuffs, vehicles and so forth. It goes without saying that you need to cover these. This is a must and you must settle them all.

Step 3. Pay off your 'bad' debt

You must set aside 10% of your monthly income to eliminate these bad debts. Debt incurred to purchase liabilities (or non-cash-producing items) is labeled 'bad debt'. This usually includes most of the items charged to credit cards. If you have problems managing credit cards, a debit card is the most practical alternative. With debit card you will not spend unnecessarily. Stop impulse buying or spending.

Step 4: Spend the rest

Consider this as a reward to yourself for the hard work you have done.

Dare to Take the Risk?

Are You daring enough to take the risk?

This is the most common question to many people but the sad fact is that not many people dare to take the risk. If you are a person who is not willing to take risks, chances are you will never accomplish anything more than what you have accomplished so far.

There is absolutely no way possible because you will never do anything different than what you are currently doing.

Many successful people are successful because they were willing to take some sort of risk to achieve their success.

As a matter of fact if you ever do any reading on any successful person you will notice that they are the one's who fail the most. You must be willing to fail at one point in your life if you ever wish to succeed at anything. Anyone not willing to take risks will always maintain a mediocre life. What is it that you would like to accomplish? Why not just go for it? Are you afraid of what people will think if you fail to accomplish you goals at the specific time that you set for yourself?

People are always quick to judge you; while they stay in their safety net of working a 9-5 job that most of them despise. However you must believe that whatever you are working towards as long as you do whatever it takes to achieve your goals you will reach them. It does not matter if you fail to reach them at the specific time, just keep persisting until you reach them.

Let's talk about Brian Tracy. I love to read about how people set and reach goals. Like everyone who sets out on their path to become a millionaire there are struggles and adversities; the only thing that differentiates the successful from the unsuccessful is the willingness to stick with it. We all know that people not willing to take risks would never stick with it as long as someone who is willing to takes risks and believes that they can be do have anything they desire. Brian Tracy set his first goal in his 20's to become a millionaire, he did not achieve it. He reset his goal to reach it by his 30', he found himself resetting that goal again to become a millionaire by his 40's.

What I am attempting to point out is that there is no shame is resetting your goal; as long as you continue to strive towards whatever it is you wish to achieve.

Be willing to take some sort of risk in your life to accomplish something you feel wonderful about. If you are not willing to take risks; then quit complaining about life being unfair. There is nothing unfair about life as long as we are willing to work towards what we want.

For people who are lazy and do not want to take risks then they will continue living the life that they are given; instead of taking control and choosing how they want to live. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that if that is the way you choose to live; however you must realize that you can achieve anything you desire by putting your mind and heart to achieve it. You just have to be willing to go out and get it and take the risk (for tips and strategies to become top achievers, please order my book by calling or sms me at 012-8762864).

About My Book...Dare To Change..

Comment from Dr. Mood....

Dare to Change

On Wednesday (23/2/11) I was glad to obtain an autographed copy of Dr.Frank Kiong's motivational book entitled " Dare to Change" in Kuching. So far I know this book is one of the very few written in English by a local Sarawakian author on the subject of motivation and self-improvement. Dr. Frank is a young professor-cum director of Open University Malaysia branch campus in Kuching.
The book published in 2010 (107 pages) engages me the moment I laid my hand on it. Reading it slowly over two days period have kept me reminded of my DBA pursuit. To undertake a Doctor of Business Administration journey is not every one's cup of tea but I have decided to pursue it since early 2009 with Asia e University at a ripe age of 60. At the time Ihave just crossed the river i.e. after completing the mandatory course work consisting of 10 core business and management subjects, the book came handy as I begin to walk through the intellectual jungle before reaching the top of the hill - my final destination of academic success. From above the hill I figure I'll be holding a placard written with these words " This DBA is mine!".
The book is reminding me of the champion I'm always is - a person who is success-driven and having control of my life. Remember the entrepreneur's motto - If it is to be, it's up to me.
The diamond is within you says Dr. Frank. This echoed what one of my friends in school said to me a long time ago. She wrote that I'm a pearl among the pebbles. This strong belief in my special ability to excel has been with me since. But the book encourages me to keep on digging and enrol with the DGU university i.e. Don't Give Up University. The setbacks and failures have to be constantly changed to success. " The only way to find diamonds is to dig deep inside the mine of the soul". Forget about FEAR ( False Expectations Appear Real). Do not fear changing your steps, moves, experiments etc because you have a mission, a vision, a dream - follow your heart's passion. The book have dozens of relevant anecdotes and quotations to capture your interest and imagination.
The book is inviting me again to enrol with the Successful People Club ( Read : It is not all about money, it's all about Success). A useful tool offered by Dr. Frank is how to become a ' Focus Master'. Thus even though there are a dozen of goals and objectives that I'm faced with for example , the priority now is to get my DBA research work going. Now that I 've crossed the river what's next? I cannot crawl anymore I have to run and even spread my wings and fly. Why should I fly? According to Dr. Frank if I want to be the winner I have to become apurposeful winner by aggressively moving towards achieving my goals and objectives. A purposeful winner is one who believes that if there is a will, there is a way to achieve greatness and success. Remember Ray Kroc ( MacDonald's founder) formula :
1. Never Give Up
2. Always persevere
3. Do not forget No.1
( NEVER GIVE UP! )
Remember to persist until you succeed. Thus I have to take control ( read: take responsibility, sacrifice, obligation) rather than let the next two years of my life run on auto pilot.
This DBA adventure is fun for me despite the problems and setbacks of doing it on part-time basis and on personal funds. But I have learnt to close the door of negativity behind and shun away from the ' BUTS, and BUT'S cousins such as NO, IMPOSSIBLE, MAYBE and worse of all you will get , BUT'S uncles - EXCUSES and lots of them' reminded the book.
The book though tiny comes handy and has impacted me. I have placed the highest value in achieving the DBA. I know I'll make a difference to the world with my DBA and that would make me a very happy man. In the words of Alber Schweitzer," Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful".
I'm Possible!
( Read again: not IMPOSSIBLE)

( Note : Those keen in getting copies of the book can call or sms Dr. Frank Kiong directly at 0128762864. Price is RM35 per copy.)

10 Ways to Reach Your Goals

Success is achieved not through accident but through proper planning and execution based on the following rules of the game:

1. Write down two or three ways you can immediately start moving toward your goal. Select one of them and immediately work on it.

2. Imagine what life will be like in five years if you don't begin moving toward your goal.

3. Make sure your goals are measurable (SMART Goal). Having a definite target to shoot at gives you a much better chance of hitting it and encourages you to begin movement toward the goal.

4. Break your goals into manageable steps. Seeing a defined path to your goals encourages you to begin your most important journey.

5. Publicly announce your goals (use Facebook to tell your friends about your goals). Knowing that others are expecting you to hit your goals puts more pressure on you to begin.

6. Enlist a friend to be your goal buddy (almost like your golf buddy). Help and encourage each other to move when either of you becomes stuck.

7. Visualize where you are headed with vivid detail. How exactly would it feel to achieve an important goal? How would it look? How would it taste?

8. Post a picture of an important goal in a visible place along with a date for achievement. Maybe a picture of a dreamed-about vacation destination, or a picture of that first new home.

9. Set your goals higher than normal for maximum motivation. Does becoming the number one in your company motivate you more than becoming number three?

10. Focus only on the next step on your climb up success mountain. After your break your mountain expedition into little pieces, as you climb, focus on the next piece of your journey.
